Did this video help you?

MrSupraman100: Great video, very thorough.  Mine needs doing this Summer, this'll be a great help :)

Jimmy Hernandez: Question. Doing this job. The handbrake has to be on??

Joshua Baker: Excellent video man but I'd like to make one suggestion. Don't break those bolts loose with the ratcheting side gear a wrench. The teeth on those wrenches are really really tiny and don't hold up to that kind of pressure very well. You'll eventually strip the gear inside that wrench. I'm just looking out for you and your tools man. Bloody knuckles and broken tools aren't fun lol

Doomzdayxx: Thanks for going out of your way to make this video

mai hik: why do you have to twist the piston,is it because the new break are new?

dave456ish: wow thanks, I have changed tons of brake on my domestic car this was my first time with the mazda. I wished they all worked like that

andres giraldo: i wish i had your garage

SillyMonkeyRacing: wouldnt really call this a diy seeing as you dont say what your doing while your doing it

Phill Thompson: Thanks for this pal!! very useful.

Jason T Lewis: Great video, thanks for the refresher!!

Bludika: quick question, where is the best place to put the JACKSTANDS on the RX8 at the front? the manual states to put them on the side where you put the car jack to lift the car up but ive read from rx8club that the side points are not too sturdy, and should put the jackstands somewhere else more sturdy instead. So, other than the side, where can i put the jackstands when i'm lifting just the front? Is it possible you can video tape showing where is the best spot? i would really appreciate it thanks

Braden Asper: This video was VITAL me changing my brakes on my RX8. Thanks for the DIY post. Much better than the other rx8 brake video on youtube. The guy who did the last set didn't align the pin on the brake with the piston and it wore totally crooked, so that was a good tip or I wouldn't have known what was wrong. Expect to see more from you.

Bludika: do you have experience with Hawk brake pads? If i want to replace my rear brake pads with Hawk brand, do i need to replace the rotors too? or could i still use my oem rotors if they are still in good shape.

Ting P: ok...thanks.

Ting P: Thanks....I'll look for that tool at my local autozone. My car is automatic. I'm assuming the automatic trans fluid replacement is thru the fill bolt and drain bolt. I read that it will take less 2 quarts...of cause not all the fluid will drain out...some will remain in the torque converter...is that correct? Thanks again...

eturkov: @buckluangprabang You should be able to get the tool at any auto parts store, should be pretty cheap, maybe $6.99? plugs and MT transmission fluid are pretty straight forward - you might consider replacing your plug wires at the same time you do the plugs, mine needed to be replaced..

Ting P: Nice....DIY video!!!....where can I buy that tool to twist the rear pistons? and Cost??? I've replaced my front brakes on my 04 RX8, but not the rear.. My next DIY will be auto trans fluid and spark plugs replacement (have not change them. car at 54,000 miles). Any advice you can give me before I tackle them would be greatly appreciative...thanks

tony colombo: great video thanks !!!! head cam is awesome
